Hi,

I have been trying to log into my control panel but I can not get to it.

I go to the log in page that I normally go to but I'm greeted by the agree to the terms
and conditions of the Product Cart End User License Agreement question.
No problem, I checked the yes box and then clicked on submit.

Now the problem.
I get the: "The connection was reset.  The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading."  message in Firefox.

I am guessing the phone home routine is not connecting or is being blocked for some reason.

I sent a copy of the log in link to my friend and he had  the same response.

I can, luckly, get in on my laptop, but not my desk top so I cleared the desk tops cookies and tried again.  Still the same problem.

Both Internet Explorer and my normal browser, Firefox,  have the same result.
I'm Running XP Pro on my machines and have a hosted cart 3.11.
Called the hosting company, they said all was fine.
The web site is working fine, I've received sales on it.

Any help would appreciated.

Thanks,
Dave

By any chance, are you hosted at Crystaltech? If so, they recently installed a security filter on their shared servers that is causing problems for some ProductCart pages. Basically, any request (sent to the server) that contains "Line Breaks" is not allowed to be executed (which is the case for the ProductCart EULA). Here is a message from their technical support department that was sent to another ProductCart customer (who then forwarded it to us):

Hello,

The issue is with a new feature we recently added called "SRX". It helps to prevent SQL Injections, however, it can interpret certain legit requests as attacks. I confirmed via the logs that this is the case. We can whitelist your domain's ip address and you will not have this issue again,  however, the "SRX" would no longer be available for your site. If you would like us to proceed, please let us know.

Thank You,

... So, you should contact their tech support department and have them "white list" your domain against this filter.

If that is not the case, perhaps one of the following issues is in play?

Yep!

I called them and that was exactly the problem.
It is now fixed.

Thanks,
Dave
