Hi,

I was wondering if anyone implemented a code customization to the apparel add-on that displays the color swatches on the search results page beneath the products. This would allow the customer to view the additional colors that the product comes in without having to actually click on the item to view the details. (see: http://www.landsend.com/ix/mens-clothing/Men/Shirts-Sweaters/index.html?seq=1~2~3&catNumbers=1~8&visible=1~2~1&store=le&sort=Recommended&tab=1 - landsend.com )

Thanks!

I think Greg Dinger from Greybeard Design has already created what you want as an additonal module:

Oh - just had another look at your sample site and it's not quite the same but you may be interested in Gregs Add-on anyway having seen the type of prodcuts you are selling.

Hi all

Before I go and reinvent the wheel, I thought I would just check to see if anyone has done this yet.

Thanks

Love the top menu on that site Greg.

Does it use the spry menu?

no.  it's just unordered lists, CSS and a bit of JS helper code to deal with older browsers.  We've done this on a number of sites such as sndkids.com, falconparts.com, shopatdean.com.

This is exactly what I am looking to implement. What would the charge be to get this running on my site?

Hi Greg

Thanks for that.

I am looking for something like the actual product detail page i.e. active colour swatches that change the image on click. Also that show in the correct colour on search. So if you search for a white shirt all the images are white rather than the main image colour.

Just thought I could save some time if it has already been done.

well, one must presume that if we got it this far we could take it to that next step, but it's up to you.  good luck.
