I need to remove over 200 categories and wondered if there was something similar to your DeleteInactiveProducts script for Category Deletion. I found your other script extremely useful.

Even though I have deleted all the products, the categories are still being displayed in drop down boxes and I can't seem to get rid of them unless doing so 1 by 1. Hoping for a similar script or other advice.

Do you need to remove all of your categories, or just 200 out of a bunch more than that?

I need to delete a couple of hundred out of 1,500 or so.

Ok, well in that case you could provide us a spreadsheet of the 200 or so cats and we could write a script for you to do the work. Please PM me if you are interested in that.
