Subject: No shipping rates were returned for your order

I recently did some updates for a client to bring them up to 2.76p - yes way over due.

Anyway, after the update, the final screen said to check on the shipping options as some things changed. Specifically, it says to "Select a "default" shipping provider via the Shipping Settings page ("Other Settings").
BUT - there is not an option there to set a default shipping provider.

We have 4 custom shipping options and that is it.
Right now, no one can check out (even if I check the box to allow them to complete the order if no shipping rates are returned.)

Any suggestions?

Hi, up to 2.76 - of from 2.76? Hopefully the latter! :-)
Please raise a support request so we can properly investigate.

LOL.
no, you read it correctly.
I'm a consultant and they called me in to make a few changes and I realized they needed the 2.76 update and a security update so installed them.

for a temp fix, I replaced the new chooseShpmnt.asp page with our old one and the customer can now check out.

There was a shipping patch out for 2.76.  I somewhat remembered it and checked my hard drive.  Sure enough I have a file for the shipping fix.  Not sure if that one would fix your problem.  Also tell your customer to upgrade further, it makes so much of a difference not to mention the features.  Part of selecting a provider had to do with UPS not allowing rates from competitors to be shown on one page.    They implemented a tab system above the rates and the customer has to click each one to show rates individually by provider.  FedEx also implemented this rule.  Make sure you do not have UPS or FedEx active.  That may fix your issue.

Wow! They seriously need an upgrade - at least as far as the last of the v3 releases.
