We sell a product that we are setting up an auto-delivery option for our customers. The challenge we face with Subscription Bridge in its current format is that each time a subsequent payment is made on a subscription, Product Cart doesn't know about the repeat "order". We have to manually create an order from the successful payment information for each customer.

I'd love to have Subscription Bridge push the subsequent payments into the orders and productsOrdered table as paid orders so we can ship them without manual intervention.

They're not actually orders: that is, the customer did not order a new subscription. That's why a new order is not created in ProductCart.

We agree that it would definitely be helpful to have an interface in ProductCart where you can process the shipments related to subsequent, successful subscription payments. This is on the roadmap, but will not be available in the immediate future.

A workaround is to use the integration between SubscriptionBridge and QuickBooks and process the shipments directly in QuickBooks. The subsequent, successful payments will appear in QuickBooks as sales receipts, and you can process the shipments through the http://quickbooks.intuit.com/product/add_ons/shipping_manager.jsp - QuickBooks Shipping Manager .

"Shipping Manager is already built into your QuickBooks software and it's FREE to use. You only pay FedEx or UPS charges on what you ship. And you can sign up for Shipping Manager through your QuickBooks software and start using it right away."

If you are a QuickBooks user, and believe that this workaround might help, let us know and we can turn on the QuickBooks integration in your SubscriptionBridge merchant account (it's currently in BETA).

First, thanks for the reply.

While I agree with you that subsequent payments are not new subscriptions, with a shippable product, they are new orders as they need to be shipped, they need shipment tracking codes, they affect inventory, and very well may have tax implications. Additionally, if a customer calls to inquire about a shipment, we need to be able to look up the shipment and provide the customer details. In this scenario, these subsequent payments/orders are identical to a regular order placed on a PC store.

I realize that our use of subscription bridge may be outside of the original intention of SB, but Early Impact must have had some sort of an eye towards this as the product setup in SB has an option to denote that an item is shippable.

The QB option doesn't really work as we rely on the PC db for orde fulfillment and customer support.
