Just received with per email information from USPS and I start to worry.  There will be a lot of new options for Priority Mail, like regional flat rate etc.  I'm currently still using 3.51 and hope that we will not have any service interruptions when they change their api.  Will there be an update on the EI side for 3.51?

On January 2, 2011, USPS will update domestic shipping services and international pricing and product features. For detailed information on prices and new product features, please reference the Federal Register Notice at http://pe.usps.com/FederalRegisterNotices.asp#Jan_2011_Prices - http://pe.usps.com/FederalRegisterNotices.asp#Jan_2011_Prices < http://pe.usps.com/FederalRegisterNotices.asp - http://pe.usps.com/FederalRegisterNotices.asp >.

For a list of the new prices, please reference the Postal Explorer website at http://pe.usps.com/ - http://pe.usps.com/ . The information is on the left hand side under "NEW* Jan. 2, 2011 Pricing Information"

Price Change updates will be available in the Web Tools testing environment for integrator access on or around December 13. The test environment can be accessed, using your production UserID, via the following URL scheme, host and path:

Secure APIs: https://stg-secure.shippingapis.com/ShippingApi.dll - https://stg-secure.shippingapis.com/ShippingApi.dll
Non-secure APIs: http://stg-production.shippingapis.com/ShippingApi.dll - http://stg-production.shippingapis.com/ShippingApi.dll
Please note that the changes below are intended to be backwards compatible, however, may not be depending on how individual programs are integrated with the APIs. Technical guides, inclusive of the changes below, can be obtained from the USPS Internet Customer Care Center (1-800-344-7779 or icustomercare@usps.com < mailto:icustomercare@usps.com - mailto:icustomercare@usps.com >).

Web Tools APIs will be affected in the following manner:
§ All Web Tools APIs with postage prices incorporated will be updated to reflect the price changes
§ All Rate Calculator API integrators are encouraged to migrate to the latest API versions (RateV4, IntlRateV2):
o RateV4 and IntlRateV2 will be the only Rate Calculator API versions to offer the full range of new products and functionality

o Rate, RateV2, RateV3 and IntlRate will be retired in May 2011, requiring all integrators to migrate to the latest versions

§ Domestic Rate Calculator API Changes
o New <Container> request enumerations will be added to RateV4 to support the USPS product offerings and prices listed in the Federal Register Notice

o New response nodes in Rate, RateV2, RateV3 and RateV4 to support the USPS product offerings and prices listed in the Federal Register Notice

o New optional request values in RateV4 to support USPS extra services offerings and prices
o New optional response nodes in RateV4 to support USPS extra services offerings and prices
§ International Rate Calculator API
o New response nodes in IntlRate and IntlRateV2 to support the USPS product offerings and prices listed in the Federal Register Notice

o New optional request values in IntlRateV2 to support USPS extra services offerings and prices
o New optional response nodes in IntlRateV2 to support USPS extra services offerings and prices
o New <AdditionalRestrictions> response value in IntlRate and IntlRateV2
§ Express Mail Label and Hold For Pickup Express API
o New <Revision> and <Container> request data tags to support the Legal Flat Rate Box
o New <Size>, <Length>, <Width>, <Height> and <Girth> request data tags
§ Delivery Confirmation and Signature Confirmation
o New <Revision> and <Container> request data tags to support the USPS product offering and prices listed in the Federal Register Notice

§ International Label APIs
o New <Container> request enumerations will be added to support the USPS product offerings and prices listed in the Federal Register Notice

As feared in my previous post.  Today was the postal switch to their new setup, as they stated in the message I've send along above.  USPS rates are no longer being pulled over.  We are dead ducks now.   Angry

God it just sucks so so bad when I log on to find ten e-mails saying our shipping is broken, only to come and find out that USPS screwed something up with their API. Why must they change the API and not enforce backwards compatibility?

*edit*

This has been broken for 6 days. We haven't had any orders because shipping cannot be calculated. I'm sure we are not alone.

Just chiming in to let everyone know this is not an isolated problem. We're also not getting shipping rates from USPS running v3.11a.

EI - for what version(s) will a patch be released?  I can't imagine that v3.11 will be supported, but what about v3.51 stores?

USPS is still not returning all options correctly. Priority Mail Options is not coming up in our store and should be.

More detail: We are running 4.0a SP4
Pulls First class and Express mail correctly but not Priority rates/options.

Verified Mail/Shipping options for USPS in ProductCart are set correctly.

Priority Mail rates are being returned correctly in other stores, so we are not sure what the problem might be:
  1. Please try changing products & ship-to address to make sure that rates are not returned in all cases (vs. not being returned due to the specific shipment settings)
  2. Please open a support ticket if you still believe there is an issue, so that we can review your store settings and troubleshoot the problem with you

It is still not returning Priority Mail rates. The patch fixed First Class but I have tried 5 different products/categories in our store (YourBagTag.com), different users, different shipping addresses, all to no avail. I have checked and reset settings in shipping options of Admin. Nothing works.

Steve - just so you know, I have upgraded a handful of stores already and each are showing priority rates.  Did you submit a support ticket yet?

FYI for all other users: we have posted the updated version of the fix to the Support Center. The problem had to do with a specific scenario where Flat Rate Envelope was selected for a weight up to 25 pounds.

It seems like the USPS fix doesn't fix USPS missing from Google Checkout-- can anyone else confirm/offer advice? Currently only seeing UPS listed as options when using Google Checkout.

I can confirm that on v3.11 the Rates DO NOT PASS TO Goggle Checkout.

I do not use UPS, but my Fedex Rates, and "Other Options" do show as normal.

Hi all. I've downloaded the patch and replaced the file and I'm still not getting any usps rates returned- Running V4.0 SP4 - is anyone else running into this? I'm at my wits end and am about to go crazy=)

I downloaded the file - and noticed that there is a fix for 4.1, 4.0, 3.51 BUT NO FIX FOR 3.11.

Was this intentional? or an omission? Dale

I downloaded the fix for the USPS Ship Rate last week (and noted it worked on the forum- Jan 4th)

I was referring to the Google Check Out Fix for v3.11

Is this going to be fixed or was it an omission?

It was an omission. Please redownload the file from the Support page and you will receive the latest version, which includes the Google Checkout fix for v3.11.
