I am in the processes of creating my bulk product import file.  I am currently stumped on the "Parent Category" field, which instructs (in this link: http://wiki.earlyimpact.com/productcart/products_import#all_products - http://wiki.earlyimpact.com/productcart/products_import#all_products ), "If blank, the main Category is placed in the root. If it matches an existing category, then the main Category is imported as a subcategory of that Parent. If it doesn’t match any existing category, a new Parent category is created in the root, and the main Category is assigned to it.

 

I would like the parent category to also be the main category.  At this point, I have this category already added to the root. 

 

My question: Should I keep this field blank or should I list it in the field?  I'm concerned that if I leave it blank, and the category is already in my database, that this may cause an error.  Perhaps I should delete it out of my category listing, and then list it in this field, to then be added to the root when I upload my file?  Or am I wrong all together and should not make the main category the same as the parent category.
