A customer made a purchase in the online store and selected Direct Debit payment option.

But then they called by phone and paid via credit card!

I can not see how I can change this payment method to credit card.

I don't see a way to change the order payment method without some kind of modification. You should probably cancel the order and create a new one with the new payment details if you want the order to reflect the change of payment method.

I think this has been raised before and as far as I am aware Brett's solution is the best one.
 
The order has it's status updated once a payment has been accepted and I don't think you can edit the payment method after that point - which does make some sense.
