I've been having quite a few customers complain about not being able to complete their orders using PayPal, and I've encountered the problem myself, but it seems to be intermittent.  When you click on the PayPal checkout button here is the error message you get below
 
Does anyone know how to fix this?:
 

There was a problem and we were not able to complete your request. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Technical Information:

The error has been logged in the store database. The reference ID for this error is: . Write it down because you will need it to obtain more information about this error or to report the problem to our technical support team.

 

For security reasons, details about this error are not shown in the storefront. To obtain more information, do the following:

  • Log into your store's Control Panel
  • Go to "Help > Error Information"
  • Enter the Reference ID and click "Submit"

I just clicked on the paypal button but I did not get an error.

You may want to follow this article in order to get to the actual error message, or submit a support request.

Thanks Greg, I have the tech support subscription but I can't find my product key, so I haven't been able to post a support ticket yet.
 
Does your company do this sort of troubleshooting?  Reason I ask is because my web guy isn't certified or familiar with Product Cart.

Your license key is in the /includes/storeconstants.asp file.  It is the long string at the top of the file.
