Hello,

I was just curious what other customers who use Product Cart do to keep their SQL databases clean if using SQL.
Do you run monthly queries to clean certain data?
I know that PC has a Remove Customer Sessions and Remove Saved Carts tool but do you go any farther?

Would like to pick some brains.

Thanks for any information.

This is not a monthly activity for any of our clients, but I did want to note that we have created a script that purges historical sales data from a specified date.  So if you feel that sales history old than X date is of no further interest, and that you want to regain space, we have such a module.

Interesting...does it remove the information from all tables that include that sales history?

Any other tips you might have to keep Product Cart tables clean?

yep - it hist several tables including those related to payment methods, orders, productsordered, etc.

There are a couple tables dealing with QBSynch that I have to clear occasionally, and the XML log data can accumulate, but the QB stuff is being addressed in a future release, and the XML logging can be turned off at the admin.  No other thoughts beyond that at the moment.
