Is is possible to add to the PC shopping cart from an external website, other than the store home page. My client wants a setup with another company website, so when they buy something (from external websoite) instead of sending the orders through the e-mail they go right into the cart on the store home url (not external website).

example:
So, the store home url is http://www.MyPCStore.com" rel="nofollow - www.MyPCStore.com and a company http://www.MyCompany.com" rel="nofollow - www.MyCompany.com could have someone order something that gets tossed into the cart on http://www.MyPCStore.com" rel="nofollow - www.MyPCStore.com . Like an affiliate site.

I know there is the license issue, but maybe the best way is to have a link on the external site the PC store. The user would navigate away from http://www.MyCompany.com" rel="nofollow - www.MyCompany.com to the http://www.MyPCStore.com" rel="nofollow - www.MyPCStore.com . Links would need to be setup on the http://www.MyPCStore.com" rel="nofollow - www.MyPCStore.com .

Is anyone doing something like this? I want to do it the best wasy possible, so if you can shoot me some ideas...

Thanks
SDI

Hi,
If I understand what you mean then yes, it is supported. It's called the E-Commerce Widget and here's the WIKI page about it : http://wiki.earlyimpact.com/widgets/productcart_ecommerce_widget" rel="nofollow - http://wiki.earlyimpact.com/widgets/productcart_ecommerce_widget

Ah, very cool. I will find out shortly if this is what the 2 parties are looking for. I will post back.
Thanks for the direction!

Well, found out this is different than just 1 widget for a number of products. Apparently they will have multiple customers with a different set of products, exclusive for that customer listed to reorder. So, say customer A has tv, camera and customer B has paper, pencil, marker then they have 2 different widgets. So, if they have 1000 customer records they would have 1000 widgets, because the products could all be different.

Thanks
