Hi There

I'm experimenting with the Product Bundle function to create a layout for greeting card assortments that we're going to be selling. http://66.96.90.86/productcart/pc/viewPrd.asp?idproduct=1&adminPreview=1 - Here's a link to a sample page : http://66.96.90.86/productcart/pc/viewPrd.asp?idproduct=1&adminPreview=1 -

My question is, how difficult would it be to go into the code to delete or change the text that begins "Check the check boxes next to the additional" and delete the "required accessory" check box?

It doesn't seem like it would be that difficult.

Thanks for your feedback.

ed

Hello Ed,

You will find this text in the file "includes/languages.asp".

Thanks Matt

I'll take a look at it later today.

I've been trying to do the same thing today... but eliminating the (*) has eluded me. I ultimately deleted the graphic from the server, but have yet to locate where the symbols "( " and ") " are to delete them.

The cs_img and cs files aren't helping me either.

BUT what I'd really like to remove is the table cells that are generated to hold this text - can't find the details anywhere!

If you figure that out, I'd love to know!

Yup. That was my next question. Changing the text was easy enough. But the asterix and the checkbox look a bit strange. Does anyone out there know where to find those in the code so they can be zapped?

Thanks

Use the cs_img.asp file to control the check-box.

I've tried going through the admin files that generate the cross-selling features, but after looking at the code I still can't find a way to turn off the * or eliminate the table cells.

good luck

Hi all

to remove the * - create an image file to replace it with the same name that has your page background and no asterisk.   Then upload it to the same location as the original on your server.

Removing the img is the easy part (I just deleted it)... its the ( and ) that's around it that is eluding me - I should have clarified that locating the source code that calls on the * in the first place is the goal...

I believe it is viewprdcode.asp near the bottom.

This is called by all of the viewprd.asp files.

Hi Matt and Mark

This looks like just what I need. I don't have time to check it out today, but we'll have look tomorrow, and hopefully, voila!

And Matt, do you have a link to your site so that I can see how you've got it set up?

Thanks again

Hello Ed,

I am an Early Impact Tech... just poking my head in.  I like to see what customizations people are making and/ or asking about.  If I can help point someone in the right direction I will do so as much as possible.  I know Mark has made some nice customizations.  It sounds like caughlan has done some nice css work, which I know Id like to see .  Perhaps they have links to post for you.

Cheers,
Matt

Hi Mark, Caughlin and Matt

I found the code right on line 1925 in ViewPrdCode.asp. I tried removing that line, removing the entire Table Row and also replacing that row with a duplicate of the row below it which just has a spacer. No luck. No matter what changes I made it had no effect on the card assortment page I'm working on.

Any additional thoughts or tips would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

ed

Ed,

What exactly are you trying to accomplish again?

I don't see the * at the top of the cross-selling anymore, but if you are trying to alter whats under the small photo use the cs_img.asp file...

Hi S.

Thanks for the quick response. I actually figured it out. Trial and error. I commented out line 1885 in the ViewPrdCode.asp file (cs_DisplayCheckBox=-1) and that took out the asterix and the "required accesory" line from the individual products within my product assortment. Exactly what I wanted.

Hopefully it won't end up crashing the system at some point!

Thanks for all your help with this. I'm sure I'll be needing more!
