Hello,

When trying to use the "HTML Editor" to edit a content page, we are noticing that we can not upload any pictures (clicking on the picture upload icon).  We can basically get to the page where you select a image file from your local PC, but when you click "upload", nothing happens - no picture upload, no error message, etc.

Obviously the workaround is to upload the picture via FTP and then link the image code into the HTML editor, but for the storeowners who are dependent on the HTML Editor GUI, how can this issue be addressed?

Thanks in advance,

Hi Joe,
I believe this can happen when there are a lot of images. The HTML editor is a third party component of ProductCart, but we investigated and believe we have a fix. Please raise a support ticket.

I believe PC throws WAY too many images into the /pc/catalog/ sub-directory and as it takes IIS that much longer to find a requested file, this can be an issue in several places in PC.  This is the reason we dynamically generate sub-directories for folks using our "Batch Process Images" add-on for PC -- so, we have a level deeper for the various sizes of product images, each in their own sub-directory of /pc/catalog/

Hamish, if this is not the issue with the HTML editor, please let us know here.

If I'm on the right track here, it would be a good idea to start having PC allocate various kinds of images to sub-directories such as category & content page images, etc. Lots more could be done here IMHO.
