anybody know how to hide the product description? if i leave it blank, there
is a "no information" message in its place...

The Product Description is 1 of 4 'required' fields (along with SKU, Product Name and On-line Price). To leave it empty, try using a carriage return (press the Enter Key once in the field) and see if that works.
