Im sure this has been covered if not, here it is.

With 'Update Prices', there should be an option to select "Supplier" And all products are displayed for that particular supplier.

Finding it a nightmare to update 1000 products, with 10 suppliers mixed together. (Found a solution by using a code in the front of the SKU to separate them. Not pretty but effective)

*** The ultimate would be a 'search feature' like 'Locate a product' for update prices and when the results are displayed, the prices is an editable field that can be saved. ***

Just an idea.

To enable us to do more around 'suppliers' we have created all our suppliers as Drop Shippers (even though they aren't) and customised the email they receive.  Then we associated all the products with the relevant drop shipper.   It's given us far more flexibility generally.

We sell music downloads (with no physical media delivered) using PC, so everytime an artist's music sells they or their label receive an email to tell them.  It's been a very popular addition.   We have hundreds of artists and add about 20 more a month so this is vital in tracking their sales and so on.

Whether this benefits what you need I haven't researched but it might be worth taking a look.

Just checked.  My idea above will work though not quite as flexibly as your suggestion.

Instead of using the 'update price' function, choose 'global changes' instead.  Then you can pick a supplier or drop shipper the changes will relate and can change prices there for that group.

It's not perfect as you then need to change it for all products in the category.

You could set up more than one drop shipper / supplier per company 'Supplier 1 - premium price', 'Supplier 1 - discounted price' etc to give a bit more flexibility on that.

cheers

Mark
