I use the apparel add-on and would like to be able to add a new attribute to an option group and rebuild the sub-products without losing all references to the previous images. Is there a way to do this? Sure would appreciate some suggestions. |

You don't need to re-generate the sub-products. You can just add the new sub-products to the existing ones by using the corresponding link on the Manage Sub-Products page.

thx for your reply, that way of adding sub-products certainly works well, however if I add a new attribute to an apparel option group I would like to assign that to the numerous products in a batch manner rather than have to do each individually. I use one only (apparel) option group [make/model] so that I can display a picture of the customers choice. Subproducts are actually the same as the option group. Is there a way that I can add more attributes to the option group and then re-assign this option group to the numerous products without having to re-generate sub-products (this is when I lose all the links to the images).
