sales tax on shipping by state

We have to collect sales tax in 6 states because of physical presence of our parent corporation. 3 of the states require sales tax be collected on shipping, and the other 3 collect tax only on product itself. Is there any way we can get a feature in the next update to allow toggling the sales tax on S&H on a per-state basis? Right now the only way we can comply with the states that require sales tax on shipping charges is to collect tax on shipping for all states, which means we're collecting unnecessary taxes.
