I've never used SEO rich URLs before in the life of my store, but after upgrading to v4, I was considering the option. Will this negatively effect our search engine results? I only have a basic understanding of how the SEO rich URL function works and wasn't sure if it would effect how Google indexes our store.
Thanks |

Google will start indexing your new URLs. We should not be concerned about having both URLs point to the same product. Google will figure it out. Please see this post on duplicate content.
Apart from search engines, keyword rich URLs simply look better and are easier for people to remember, so we definitely recommend turning that feature on, if your Web server supports it. |
