Hello,
We are setting up a work wear store for a client who wants to create sub-stores for many of his customers. The idea being that an employee with ABC Corp will login and see ABC pricing and only ABC available products. He is adamant that they should only be able to see and purchase products that have been approved by ABC. We have worked out the pricing issue using session variables and Pricing Categories but are having trouble hiding the products. One suggestion was to create an ABC category and put every product associated with them there. But then how would we only display that category when logged in? Is there a way to setup session variables based on category assignment? Of course the easiest solution would be purchase new licenses and setup separate stores but since we are looking at more than 50 clients he wants to treat this way it could get extremely pricey. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks, Liz |

I'd use the same general approach as you seem to be pursuing. Only visitors with a valid login see product, and their login sets a session value that dictates which categories are shown. As for the details of how that might happen, that's a bit of work, but this is the general approach I'd be looking at.
