I need some guidance. I've been slowly learning my way through the code, and I'm fairly comfortable changing it once I have a good understanding of what I'm changing, but I need someone to help me with this.
Where would I make the change to INCLUDE the parent categorys in the search results pages? Currently the search results include only the lowest level category that the product is included in. I would like to include at least the top level, if not all the category levels to make it more clear what they should choose. For example, lets say you have a F150 pickup and you want some Bilstein shocks. You come to our site, and see the brand dropdown list. You choose Bilstein, however in the search results you see: Bilstein 2 results Bilstein 5 results Bilstein 3 results This is because we have our category structure as Year/Make/Model - subcategory - subcategory - brand I would like to include at least the top level category of Year/Make/Model in front so it's more like: 1987 - 1993 Mustang - Bilstein 2 results 1994 - 2004 Mustang - Bilstein 5 results 1999 - 2002 F-150 - Bilstein 3 results. Can anyone please help me find the magic lines to change? Thanks so much!! |
