I'm noticing a huge spike in traffic to tellafriend.asp ... like massive. 5x any other page on our site.
I suspect it's being abused to send spam...any way to keep the feature but make it harder to be abused? Some sort of CAPCHA maybe? I'm turning it off for now, but would love to have it be available for customers who genuinely want to share a link with friends. |

Hi,
Are you running the latest copy of the code? The Captcha is certainly available, if enabled, in V3.51 and probably some earlier versions. |

Check in the admin pages : Settings > Advanced Security Settings.
You can enable the use of Captcha codes from there. Hamish |

I'm still on 3.1. Haven't had the time to do the update (lots of customizations I'll need to re-apply).
So until I upgrade looks like I'll have to live with having it off. In 3.1 I see capcha options only for the login/registration pages. |
