Howdy

Anybody got any ideas how to rotate 'Product of the Month'. I think a cool feature would be if the order '0' (ie the Main Featured product) has a few products with the same number('0'), it should scroll though these as the product of the Month, every time a customer looks at the main page.

Does that make sense..

Thanks

Rob

Well, the following suggestioin diverges from the standard approach to managing the ProductCart home page items, but it's an idea:

How about adding a flag to the product table that indicates the product should be included in a rotation of images that appear on the home page.

Then replace the code that displays the "Product of the Month" with a reference to a script that randomly selects a product that has been flagged as being part of the above-referenced rotation.

This is a high-level concept.  It's going to require a few hours of work to accomplish.  And as I say, it's not exactly integrated with the standard PC approach, but it could work.

On edit - I just realized what you were proposing concerning "order 0".  That could be done, and would avoid adding the flag.  It's still a bit of effort, but your approach could be done as well.
