Hi,
I have a question regarding Fedex integration in Product Cart. One of my clients is applying to Fedex to get access to Fedex API, but Fedex said they are not supporting new requests for API's because they are focusing on the new Fedex Web Service. Since Product Cart so far only supports Fedex API, is there anyway for my client to still use the Fedex integration in Product Cart? Will their account number still usable in Product Cart through the Fedex API? Also, is there any plans for upgrading the Fedex integration in Product Cart to use Fedex Web Service? Thank you. Tia |

It sounds like you are requesting developer's access to the
API. That is not necessary to use FedEx within ProductCart. You can
activate FedEx in ProductCart just by entering a standard account number
without contacting FedEx. Let us know if that doesn’t work, or if you
need more information. There are no plans to update the integration to
use Web Services as there are no clear advantages for the end user. If there ever is a definitive reason to use Web
Services we will definitely review it. |
