There appears to be a mix of pages - some using English text (manageHomePage.asp) and some referring to the session language lookup (instPrdA.asp). As a note, I'd prefer that just English be used, especially in large pages like instPrda.asp. I just wanted to add a note to the add/edit product pages that a max of 9 meta keywords, I think 10 is allowed for Google Base, should be used and it's very difficult to find the section w/o either flipping back and forth to the product page in the control panel or looking up the session language reference.

It's great that PC is so language flexible but it's a pain in the patootie to have to find the field labels in language.asp, especially on larger pages.

Hi Christie,
As far as I'm aware the customer facing pages use pretty much exclusively the languages files, but the admin pages tend to have much more static text, as they are far less frequently customised / localised.

The customer pages even support right to left languages, which is amazing!

There are some great tools out there to search the whole of the ProductCart  for strings, my personal favourite is the Grep command  run from Cygwin, great speed & flexibility, but that's just my Unix background showing through.  :-)

That's pretty much what I expected - admin using static text, cart using language file, but then I ran into instPrdA.asp. ModPrdA.asp uses static text. Any chance you have an instPrdA.asp for 3.11/3/12 that still has static text?

Hi, The V3.11 version only has a couple of bits of static text, 1 for an ALT and 1 for an error msg - the rest use language vars.
I wouldn't be surprised if all the admin pages gradually migrate to using language vars as well, as it  broadens the  market for ProductCart.
