Anyone build something like this, or is this feature coming in a future version of productcart?
We may want to hire a developer to make this for us, so I'm inquiring around. |

There is a "wish list" feature, but this is not exactly the same as the customer has to add the products to their wish list instead of saving whatever is in their cart at that moment.
Greg of www.greybearddesign.com has also created a "session saver" add-on which prevents the cart being emptied due to time-outs. |

Hi Hamish,
I think Ricardo has in mind being able to sweep all of the items in the cart into the wishlist - thus saving the cart contents with a single click. Ricardo, please correct me if I am wrong. |

Yes, thats what I'm talking about.
One click whisks away your cart and saves it so you can get access to it later by name. |

You can do this with the BTO version.
You save quote then convert it to an order later on.

Yes, I noticed this is a shortcoming on the PC non-BTO product. You cannot save carts, especially when I would I talk to a customer, I would like to be able to create and save an order for them on the backend, under their account as a phone order, then they review and pay for it. All I can do is make a wish list. I have had several customers complaint about this lacking - most sites can save a cart for later reviewing with a spouse and then placing the order...Anybody else want to weigh in on this???

The ability to "Save my Shopping Cart" will be part of ProductCart v4. We will soon update the ProductCart community on the ProductCart v4 release schedule and pricing. Just make sure that you are signed up to receive our newsletters.
