I moved my store to a new server with the same hosting company. The SQL database and website files were successfully restored and a new SSL certificate purchased and installed (couldn't move the old one from a win 2003 server to a win 2008 server). All diagnostics show that everything is fine. However, when someone tries to check out of the store, they do not get any shipping rates returned and when they enter their credit card info to pay for an item, they get a 500 internal server error on the payment gateway page (GWMoneris2.asp). The hosting company says the certificate was installed correctly and the change of IP address for the store must be messing things up. However, the payment gateway (Moneris) and shipping provider (CanadaPost) use the store URL (which hasn't changed) instead of an IP address in their configs. I do not see anywhere within ProductCart control panel/store settings where I entered the IP address of the site. The SSL certificate must be working at some level because I can type https://mystorename.ca and access the site. Any ideas why I am suddenly not working? What am I missing? Thanks

The XML parser used on the server that you moved from might not be supported on the server where you are currently running.
You can view/edit the version of MSXML used by your ProductCart-powered store in the "Help > Troubleshooting Utility" area of your ProductCart Control Panel. Set it to v4, if supported (see these troubleshooting tips for CanadaPost). An incorrectly defined XML parser might be the cause behind incorrect behaviors with the payment gateway as well. |

Wow, I'm impressed! You were absolutely right. It was the version of XML parser. My store was actually looking for V4 which is what I used on the last server. Unfortunately this is not supported on the new server. I chose version 3 and all is well. Thanks so much for your assistance with this.
