Deleting or Modify a Custom Input Field

   After creating a couple of custom input fields:

1) Is there a way to delete a custom input field from database that I don't want anymore?  Can't find a delete button for this.

2) After creating a custom input field and if one wants to change its field type properties such as changing the maximum number of characters, is there a way to modify an existing custom input field?  Can't find a modify button for this.

	Regarding deleting the input field you have a couple of choices: 1) you can remove it from the products that it is associated with (which in effect removes it from the site), 2) you can remove it from the products that it is associated with and rename it, then reassign it to products (this sort of "recycles" it), or you can access the database directly and remove it (the table is xfields). Regarding editing the field properties: Go to Products > Locate a Product > find one of the products that the field is associated with (a custom input field must be associated with a product to make these changes). Then locate the Custom Fields link and click on it, at the bottom of the page you should see your field listed with an "Edit" button to the far right. What version are you using?
