We are using Sagepay with FORM integration which is working very well. We were thinking of enabling 3D Secure with SagePay and I just wanted to check if anybody knew if this works OK with regards the callback to Productcart upon successful transation.
I know that 3D Secure has been coded as part of the DIRECT integration of Sagepay with Productcart but I wondered whether anybody had any experience with the FORM implementation that takes place on Sagepay servers.
Thanks
Matt

Hi Matt,
To the best of my knowledge it works fine with Sagepay.
I don't like 3D secure because it creates yet another password the user has to remember when trying to purchase online though I do appreciate its benefits in relation to online fraud. It's always a compromise trying to get it right.

Hi Nigel,
We have decided to stay away from 3D Secure for the time being. We used to have it with Worldpay but I was always worried of what sales we might have been losing for the reason you gave.
PS. If anyone in the UK is considering whether to go with Worldpay or Sagepay (probably the two most popular Gateways in the UK other than Paypal and GC) with their Productcart then after experiencing them both I would go with Sagepay every time. The integration with Productcart is better and Sagepay themselves are far better to deal with.
Thanks
Matt

Hi Matt,
I'll second that about going with Sagepay. I've been working with them for about 5 years now and the customers I have with them get an excellent service - great value too.
I have 2 with Worldpay. One of these uses the digital downloads option and they have had major problems with Worldpay not correctly processing the completed order url. As a result their customers end up in the incomplete orders list and they don't get an immediate download link. After several weeks trying to resolve this and input from Sheri at EI I had to suggest to the customer that they change gateway.

Hi Matt,
I have been using Sagepay Form with Productcart for a while and can confirm the 3D Secure implementation works well, as does the return to Productcart. Hope this helps. |
