I have a retail website setup. One of my vendors sells products where the price and inventory changes daily. The vendor is able to push a CSV file to my FTP site, formatted with the correct column titles. Is there a way to automate this on my end so that we don't have to manually import the list each day?
Any direction would be very helpful! |

If you trust them to the level that you will accept daily updates, sight unseen, then you may want to consider the XML Tools
The idea here would be that they would, instead of generating that CSV file, issue API calls against your store. The "UpdateProductRequest" method allows the product table to be updated. Properly formatted, price data would be automatically updated into your store.
If you really want to create an automated import process, as your post suggests, I suppose this too could happen. I'd have to discuss the project internally to come up with a solution were you to seek a developer to assist with such a project.
