	Do you mean that a customer has paid say by credit card, which has been authorised and the order is showing as pending and you then want to change the payment method? Nigel

	yes, sort of like that... sometimes people have trouble with paypal, so I have them use the credit card method, to get to the payment page, and from there I capture their order and just send them a paypal invoice, I'd like to change the payment method from credit card to paypal.

	Hi JWL, Is there any reason some of your customers have trouble with their paypal payment? It's not a common problem AFAIK. I recommend creating a custom payment option and calling it "Paypal by Invoice" of something similar. BTW - there's no built in may of changing payment methods after the event.

	I have a similar requirement from time to time. A customer will place an order and select 'Pay by cheque' and then will change their mind, and call us to pay by credit card instead of cheque. I need some code to change the payment method from cheque to credit card in a situation like this; if none exists, I will write it.
