Hi - Running PC 3.51 upgrading soon...
But anyways..... Spent 25min on the phone with a customer. He can log in to PC - and then clicks the button to "start shopping" This brings him to the main page where he sees his special pricing level. However - if he clicks on the left side menu tree items PC logs him out, which can be verified by looking at the right side column where it says customer account: login/register A back arrow takes him back. If he searches for an item, he is also logged out. I can not ducplicate the problem on my end, It works on my computer when I log in. He is using IE (he could only tell me he bought the computer in the past 6 months) not the version level. I asked him to get firefox or chrome, he said why should he change just for my website. I thought it was a cookie or security setting error - but we checked and he is set at medium like my computer is in the IE settings. Any ideas? Thanks.

Hi, See http://wiki.earlyimpact.com/developers/timeout-issues it will almost certainly be a loss of session. Have you ensured there is a redirect to www if the customer leaves it out?

I don't see it as a timeout or session issue - If it works on my computer logged in as him, and another computer here, and testing two different browsers (IE & firefox) if it was a issue with www and not using www I would see it.
Any other ideas? Gary

Hi Gary,
Please check on this: ASP Session Properties must be configured in IIS 7 with keepSessionIdSecure/"New ID On Secure Connection" set to false
This will mitigate against the user ending up with different carts under HTTP and HTTPS. |
