I am trying to upload a new picture to our website and I keep
getting this error message…
An Error occurred
while attempting to upload your images: Object required
This is probably
due to a default configuration option in IIS, which only allows the entity size
in a POST request to be 200,000 bytes (~200KB).
You have to change
this setting if you want to upload multiple images files or large image files
through the ProductCart application (otherwise you can just FTP the file to the
same location: e.g. the "pc/catalog" folder).
To change this
setting:
- Open IIS Manager - Navigate the tree
to your application - Double click the
"ASP" icon in the main panel - Expand the
"Limits" category - Modify the
"Maximum Requesting Entity Body Limit" to a larger value I have tried reducing the file size to under 200KB but it
still doesn’t work. Is there a way to fix this? I do not have a way to access it via FTP. What is an IIS Manager or where do I find it? Thanks in advance!! |

This is a hosting issue. IIS is the Windows application that allows web sites to live on the Internet. Where are you hosted? Their support folks are going to need to assist. If you go to the troubleshooting page (help menu) do you see any errors under "Available Upload Components"? |
