I'm getting a lot of reports from international customers that their cards are getting denied.
I'm thinking it's because the system doesn't seem to be capturing umlauts and other special characters properly. It usually comes out like gibberish. For instance this customers name is displayed in the control panel as Sjöberg I have a feeling this is a big problem with a lot of my users and its resulting in a LOT of dropped orders. Does anyone have a fix for this? |

I think there is a problem on your site and you should raise a support ticket. I'm getting a lot of international orders and do not experience any problems with international characters. They all show up correctly on my site.

I'm in the UK and receive international orders, and had the gibberish problem. It was resolved after Hamish suggested adding the following into the page header -
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1" /> Hope this helps. |
