Is there a way to clear the database of all existing products and categories? We haven't gone live with the store and want to completely rearrange how things are organized.

Thanks

As the wiki is notoriously weak in its search feature, here's the link to the article:

Versions 4.5+ include this page in the control panel (purgeAllProducts.asp), but without a link to it (because it's dangerous to give easy access to!). This is all the more reason to make sure you have renamed your control panel folder to something cryptic!

This will not, however, enable you to delete all categories. If you have so many of them that it's arduous to manually delete them all via the control panel, it is very simple to delete them all via script (or even easier with direct access to the database).

Also, just a heads up that there is some confusing terminology here: "delete" a product in the control panel actually just flags it as "removed" in the database; while "remove" in this tool actually does delete it from the database entirely.

Thank you! I guess I couldn't get the wording right to find it on google. I was trying to clear the database all at once, but removing all the products and then deleting the categories should work just fine. I appreciate the help.
