We are using a custom field for our products - called CustSeller. If we have a customer that wants to sell their own products on our site, we are assigning their customer number to their product.
What I am wondering is...they are going to receive a commission every month, and we will need to search through all orders for a certain date range, listing the products with that custom field populated. Any advice on where I can pull that sort of information? I see that I can export product information, or order information, but I don't see where I would be able to combine the two and see the orders with the custom field.
Thanks in advance!

I see where I can Export Ordered Products Information as well - but I don't see where I can display that custom field.

FWIW, we built something last year that may be of interest. The site is http://quiltedbear.com They have certain customers (crafters) who have been allowed to add products to the store, limited to a couple categories.
You will note in the lower-right corner of the site a reference to "crafter login". We hijacked the "drop shipper" feature, and cloned the product admin tools. When the crafter logs in successfully, the drop shipper menu includes product admin features. We narrowly restrain what they can do with products, but the point is that they can list their own products for sale.
As drop shippers, the system naturally notifies them of any sales, and they must ship the product and update the shipping status.
By associating these customer product sales with a drop shipper ID, you might imagine how one might then define fairly robust reporting support, and other features.

Thanks for sharing Greg. I am wondering, though - we aren't going to let the sellers input their own product information - everything has to go through an approval process first - so, I'm wondering how I can link up the drop shipper with the current products? Or would I have to clone the product admin tools, etc., like you did?
Thanks!

Just use stock functionality. In the product admin, mark the customer as a drop shipper or supplier.
