Hi,
On occasion I get orders where someone is repeatedly putting through a credit card and it is a fraudulent purchase. I know this because my gateway/financial institution sends me an email when an order is declined. I get about repeated declined emails in my inbox and sometimes more for the same customer name and order#. They are probably trying to guess the correct credit card numbers or something like that. The email and phone number are never valid. This just happened again today. When I received the first 3 declined email notifications, I went into the customer account and selected the check boxes to "lock" and "suspend" the account. I notice that even after I did this, the person was still able to continue attempting credit card purchases as if the account was not locked or suspended. I got a total of 12 declined notifications. Do these 2 check boxes (Lock and Suspend), not work right away? I want to stop the person instantly from continuing to go any further and kick them out of the cart. How can I do this? John |
