Hi,
Is there a way of creating a payment option that is available for administrators in Product Cart and not web customers. The reason is I would like to record phone orders and money orders in the database manually. I do not not want it to show in the list of payment options during checkout. I would like to keep it internal.
Also, if anyone would like to share on how they handle these types of orders that would be great.

Hi,
Do you use, or plan to use "wholesale" customers? If not, then you could set up a user for use in house as a wholesale customer with "CASH" or "COD" or whatever offline payment method you like. The disadvantage of that approach is that all the sales records are associated with the "Store" user and not the actual end customer, although this may not be an issue for you. There are alternative approaches, that I think would work, but these would involve custom coding. There was a thread on this forum about a "quick order" page for use by telephone sales staff which may be of interest. See : www.earlyimpact.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=1718&KW=quick+order |

Hi Hamish,
Thanks for the reply!
Using the wholesale customer would not be a good Idea since I plan on using that feature.
I guess I need to do a customization. I like the quick order that was done but I may need to tweak it a bit more. Any suggestions of developers that can help me with this?
