Just wondering how people who use PC to accept phone orders handle the requirement for an email address to set up a separate account? We get quite a few phone orders from folks who do not have an email address (yes, generally older) but I would still like to give them the benefits on-line customers get without constantly changing a single "catch-all" default account. Thanks for any input!

We simply make one up. For example Jane Dole orders and doens't have an email address. We simply enter janedole@. The system will buy off on it as long as there is an @ and a . symbol. With this method we can create accounts for anyone without having an email address, and yet we still can track their reward points etc. You could use the phone number instead. 1235493456@. You will get a bounced email message for the order confirmation or tracking info, but it works otherwise. Katharina
