I'm running out of ideas, open to any suggestions. I've open a support with EA and have been back and forth for ~2mo. I have contacted hosting several times with little success. I've contacted UPS. Little success. Not getting returned shipping rates is horrible for customers and business. I need to fix this NOW.
Below is a Hx of problem (note, there may be red herrings) as I noted changes with host and ProC. I then listed a hx of troubleshooting. At the end is current store information as displayed in ProC troubleshooting utility.
Hx of problem: - host provider upgraded from 32x to 64x IIS servers.
- shortly afterwards, issues with getting returns of UPS /USPS rates. Sometimes they'd show up and sometimes not. Usually just one would return during check out and that was usually USPS.
- At that time (August 25 2012), store was still v3.51
Note, that when rates are not returned, if the browser is refreshed then rates are displayed, usually both UPS & USPS.
hx of troubleshooting: - Store was upgraded to v4.6 sp0 a week after host updated servers and errors continued
- hosting provider updated XML Parsers v3 & v6. after several days switched to v3.0 as suggested by EA
- Open support tkt with EA. Basically the time out of ShipRates.asp was maxed out. Still no consistent returns. Refreshing browser will return rates
- contacted UPS, with conversation, since store gets rates with refresh of onepagecheck process it seems ups is serving up data
Open to feedback - thoughts, ideas
- presently, i'm working on trying to migrate to a new host to try and see if the issue duplicates
