I'm not exactly sure if this is a loophole or we weren't setting them up right.
We ran a few coupons over the Memorial Day weekend. -save45: $45 off on orders between $250-$499 -save75: $75 off on orders between $500-$999 -save140: $140 off on orders between $1000-$1999 -save270: $270 off on orders $2000 and up We added some products to the exclusion list. -Certain brands: some per the manufacturer's request, and some because our margins are too small -BTO packages: since we offer discounts inside the package -Refurbished equipment: since they are heavily discounted We had the right settings. -Type of Discount: Price Discount (corresponding price) -Active with an Expiration Date: (5/28/14) -Parameters: Order Amount (250-499, 500-999, etc) -Filter by Products: (All excluded products added), Exclude selected products checked -Filter by Customer Type: Retail customers selected We have had a couple orders where they were able to use the coupon and the savings "applied" to the total. example: a customer bought a bto package ($1,399.39) and added 2 products ($69.94) outside the package (total $1469.33). used coupon (save140) and the final total came out to 1,329.33. Is this right? We thought that the coupon savings would only apply to the 2 products and not the package. |
